Maundy Thursday, April 2nd at 6PM everyone is invited to share an agape meal prepared by the Diaconate. This will be followed by communion and the Tenebrae service at 7PM. An agape meal is also known as a love feast to recall the meals Jesus shared with the disciples and expresses community, sharing and fellowship enjoyed by the family of Christ. The Tenebrae service is a time of meditation on the suffering of Christ and is a service of shadows recreating the betrayal, abandonment and agony of Christ following the Last Supper.
