Alexander’s Jazz Time Band is an eleven-piece ensemble modeled on the “hot dance bands” of the 1920’s and early 1930’s. Historically informed performances of well-known standards and forgotten gems. Sample their sound at their website: www.jazztimeband.com.
Special for this one show, a Vintage Pop-Up Mini-Market. 10-12 vendors of vintage finds. Inside the Welcome Center, air conditioned. Noon to showtime.
The Live at the Andres Concert Series provides funds for the Andres Institute of Art, a NH non-profit since 1998. The AIA offers a 140-acre sculpture park with 10 miles of trails and 107 sculptures trailside, made by artists representing over 50 countries, all available to the public every day, dawn to dusk, for free. The park is situated on a former ski hill, Big Bear Lodge being the former ski lodge. It housed a music venue for decades, but went quiet more than 20 years ago. The music is back, in a room completely revamped with new sound, lights and video. Experience a great show and provide funds for a long-term NH non-profit. Never extra fees added ticket fees, always a memorable night of music. Learn more at andresinstitute.org.
