Canadian Man Illegally Purchased 100 Guns in Nashua: Feds

A Canadian man faces federal charges after authorities said he illegally purchased 100 guns in Nashua this month.

Nana Baffoe, 62, was arrested Tuesday.

Police said he entered the U.S. May 18 at a border crossing then met with a gun dealer in Nashua and paid $30,500 for the guns. Baffoe falsely said he was a resident of New Hampshire. Under federal law, a firearms dealer can only sell handguns to a resident of the state where the dealer is located.

Police did not identify the dealer.

Baffoe was held in custody pending an arraignment June 1.
