Why are you seeking elective office?

A return to common sense city planning.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The property re-evaluations will bring higher taxes and tighter family budgets. Common sense budgeting will be my priority in office.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Reasonable planning and restrained spending will stabilize the tax burden for property owners.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Excessive spending has resulted in excessive property taxes.

How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?

The response was reasonable considering the initial guidelines that from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

I am opposed to the proposed change to the City Charter regarding selection of Police Commissioners. I support the 3% tax cap as approved by city voters.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Well considered expenditures result in predictable outcomes.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Listening is usually the better half of a conversation.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am a military veteran and have been a city property owner for 36 years.
