Coffee, Cake and Conversation with Ward 3's Paul Shea
Candidate for Ward 3 Alderman, Paul Shea, gets into the meat and potatoes of the issues at a recent house party, and for dessert? Coffee, cake, and conversation. (VIDEO)

Election day in the city of Nashua is on November 5th, and it is coming up quick! The city will be voting for candidates in a host of different seats, from At Large to Ward Aldermen, as well as for School Board, Board of Public Works, etc.
For readers who do not know, my name is Paul Shea, and I am a candidate for Ward 3 Alderman. I am taking every opportunity to connect with voters as I go through the final weeks of this campaign, and I wanted to share with you video from a recent event.
This past Wednesday the Foemmel family opened their doors and invited me in to connect with their friends and neighbors in Ward 3. This was a great opportunity to talk with folks about how I would serve Ward 3 as Alderman.
I also saw this as a great opportunity to chat with folks present about what their views are, and what knowledge they have on the challenges that we face here in Nashua - and what solutions they may offer. After remarks regarding the priorities of supporting education, facilitating code enforcement, and addressing the volume of traffic that passes through, and not to, our neighborhoods, I opened it up to the group for questions and discussion.
It is my belief that the most effective leaders inspire an atmosphere where folks can sit down and have a constructive conversation, and build on the strengths and knowledge of all involved to find the best solutions. I am glad to have had this opportunity.
It is also my belief that the more information that we can share, and the more informed our community is, the better off we will be in the long run.
In that spirit, I had my (amateur) videographer (my father) record my remarks, and the conversation that followed, so that I might share it with more people who want to know more about how I would serve Ward 3 and the City of Nashua as Alderman.

The image is a little blurry due to low lighting, but the sound quality is not bad. For more information, and for those who may not have 30 minutes to watch this video, please visit www.ElectPaulShea.com to find out more about me as a candidate. Please feel free to reach out to me if you want to connect, ask me questions, or support this campaign in any way. My contact information can be found at the bottom of my website.
Thanks to Judith Carlson of City Arts Nashua for the kind introduction, and to the Foemmels for inviting us in for coffee, cake and conversation!
I will also be hosting a community meeting with our neighbor, At Large candidate, and sitting Ward 3 Alderman for the last two terms Diane Sheehan. The meeting is this Saturday, November 2nd at 3PM at the Dental Connection, on the 2nd floor. The Dental Connection is located at the intersection of Cross and Lock Street. I invite folks to come down, and enjoy pizza from Ward 3's own Sopranos Pizzeria, and continue the conversation about how we can improve value and the quality of life here in Nashua.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and watch the video if it interests you - and thank you for taking the time to get out there and vote on November 5th!
