College Students From Around New Hampshire Make Dean's Lists

Students from Amherst, Bow, Concord, Milford, and Nashua were all named to lists and some celebrated graduations this year, too.

Natasha Morris of Nashua graduated from Hofstra University in May 2019, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.

Ronnie Silva of Nashua has been named to the Adelphi University spring 2019 Dean's List. Silva was among a select group of outstanding students named to the spring 2019 Dean's List. The Dean's List comprises full-time students-registered for 12 or more credits-who have completed at least 9 graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Daniel Oates of Amherst, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in robotics engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2019 semester. A total of 1,598 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2019 Dean's List, which differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A-level in courses and projects.

Aaron Leach of Milford has been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. Leach is majoring in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity.

Students with a quality point average in the range of 3.300 to 3.599 for a semester's work are placed on the College's Deans' Commendation List. William Parker of Concord has been placed on the Deans' Commendation List for outstanding academic achievement in the Spring 2019 semester.

Springfield College has named Joshua Larner of Concord to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2019 term. Larner is studying Sports Biology.

Chris Simard of Nashua participated in the Bates College Junior Semester Abroad program. Simard, a 2016 graduate of Nashua High School South, studied in United Kingdom through St. Catherine's College, Oxford. Simard is the child of Dr. and Ms. Christopher J. Simard of Nashua, and is majoring in mathematics and economics and minoring in music at Bates.

Ellie Acquilano, an Ithaca College student from Loudon, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Acquilano is majoring in Biochemistry .

Selena Baillargeon, a resident of Concord, was one of 102 SUNY Potsdam student-athletes to earn a spot on the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the 2018-19 school year, the conference announced Tuesday, June 18. Baillargeon is a junior member of the SUNY Potsdam women's track and field team. Athletes named to the academic honor roll had a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA for the year.

Margaret B. Jensen of Bow has been awarded a St. Lawrence University Fellowship for a summer 2019 research project. Jensen is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in conservation biology. Jensen attended Bow High School. Jensen received funding through the Eric S. Smith '30 University Fellows Endowment fund and will conduct research along with faculty mentor Susan Willson, associate professor of biology, on a project titled "Investigating the efficacy of the Birdsbesafe cat collar at lowering songbird mortality in the breeding season."

Emma Steele, of Amherst, graduated from Union College. Steele, a member of the Class of 2019 majoring in Economics, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree .

Evan Lowe, of Nashua, is a graduate in the Colgate University in the Class of 2019. Lowe, a graduate of Nashua High School South, majored in peace and conflict studies, with a minor in film and media studies at Colgate. Lowe received a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude at Colgate's 198th Commencement, May 19. Colgate Alumnus Antonio Delgado, U.S. Representative for the 19th Congressional District of New York delivered the keynote address.

Meghan McKnight of Amherst has been named to Emmanuel College's Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Cameron Leo, of Milford, a member of the Class of 2022, has been named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List at Stonehill College. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the Spring 2019 Dean's List. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades earning at least a 3.30 quality point average. Note: Students who qualified for the Dean's List, but have restricted access to their information under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines, are not included on this public listing. Students may adjust these restrictions on eCampus.

To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.
