Nashua Cub Scouts Win Trophy at Chuckwagon Derby

North End Scouts roll into Pelham — and roll out with third-place honors.

Cub Scouts from Nashua's Pack 253 earned third-place honors at the Arrowhead District’s annual Chuckwagon Derby on May 14, taking home a team trophy after spirited competition at the Pelham Fish & Game Club in Pelham, NH.

Teams from all corners of the Greater Nashua area participated in the event, with Scouts ages 7 to 11 pulling their miniature chuckwagons around a circuit of eight stations. Each station tested Scouting knowledge and skills such as archery or target shooting, with teamwork and spirit also factoring into Pack 253’s final score of 120 points.

Pack 253 team members included Zachary C., Benjamin C., Jackson K., Jakob K. and Ryan U. Each Scout earned a 2016 Chuckwagon Derby patch for their efforts, in addition to the team trophy and flag ribbon for Pack 253.
