Drifter Strangled Woman, Nashua Police Say

Nashua police said a city man with no fixed address strangled a woman earlier this month.

Jason Bailey, 31, was charged with felony-level assault.

Police said on Jan. 7, a woman known to Bailey reported she got in an altercation with him. She said he strangled her and wrapped his arms around her. She suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police launched an investigation and developed enough evidence for a warrant. Bailey turned himself in Tuesday. He was held on $50,000 bail.
