Drowning Victim Recovered By Nashua Dive Team
Breaking: 2 drowned in Everett Lake Saturday; the Nashua dive team recovered one of the victims.
WEARE, NH — Two people drowned in Everett Lake in Weare Saturday.
The victims were identified as a man and a woman from Merrimack; both were 59 years old. Their names were not released. Neither was wearing a floatation device, according to New Hampshire Marine Patrol.
At about 5 p.m. Saturday, witnesses called 911, saying the couple was paddle boarding and fell into the water. A Weare police officer and firefighter found the woman and pulled her to shore; she was transported to Concord Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The Nashua Dive Team—one of several agencies that responded to the scene—found the man a short time later in about 12 feet of water.
"Marine Patrol urges all who use ... New Hampshire waters for boating-related activities to have a personal flotation device readily accessible," authorities said in a statement.
