Hollis Firefighters worked for over an hour to extricate one of the occupants who appeared to have life-threatening injuries.
HOLLIS, N.H. — Hollis Police and Fire rescue crews responded to a severe single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning on Depot Road after a car struck a tree, leaving two adult occupants pinned inside the wreckage.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found a heavily damaged Toyota with New Hampshire license plates. Both occupants were trapped inside, prompting firefighters to immediately deploy hydraulic rescue tools to free them.
The driver was extricated first and transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center with serious injuries. Extricating the passenger, who had been pushed into the rear seat due to the impact, required an extensive rescue effort. Firefighters worked for over an hour to cut the victim free.

Preliminary investigations suggest high speed contributed to the crash, according to Chief LaFlamme, based on physical evidence and initial measurements gathered at the site.
Depot Road remained closed for several hours Wednesday morning as accident reconstruction teams surveyed the scene, took photos, and cleared debris.
The Hollis Police Department is actively investigating the cause of the crash, and no further details are currently available.
