Elderly Hollis Man May Have Drowned In Hillsborough: Marine Patrol

HILLSBORO, NH — New Hampshire Marine Patrol is investigating a possible drowning on Franklin Pierce Lake in Hillsborough Monday.

Around 11:15 a.m., New Hampshire State Police dispatch received a call about a possible drowning at the lake after a body was found on the shoreline. Marine Patrol was sent to investigate. The man was identified as Alan Morrison, 76, of Hollis, Amber Lagace, a public information officer, said.

“Neighbors found him in the water along the shoreline of his residence and immediately called 911,” she said, bringing agencies to the scene. “The NH Medical Examiner’s Office also responded and has scheduled an autopsy for tomorrow.”

The investigation into Morrison’s death was ongoing, Lagace said.

Responding agencies included New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol, New Hampshire State Police Troop B, Hillsborough police and fire departments, and Hollis police.
