Why are you seeking elective office?

Education is my passion. Our schools need to be improved and brought back to earlier standards. Every child should have access to excellent schools. They need to be inspired to be life long learners. Education is the path out of poverty.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Eduction is the most important issue, not only in our city, but our state and the nation. I want to put strong emphasis on reading and writing in elementary schools, on our country's early history, and want to make improvement in how are board of education operates.
And the second most important issues are good paying jobs for all people. Small business is the economic backbone of our state. I want to insure that it is easy to start small business in the state and to support their survival.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I do not believe that you create a healthy society if you make a citizen dependent upon the government for their survival. My opponents like the power they get for giving things away for free, therefore making a person unaware of the satisfaction for doing for themselves. I get more satisfaction from teaching skills that give a person the ability to take care of themselves.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

I do not think the opposition has their priorities right. Take the current situation of the virus for example. Saving lives is important but closing down the economy will have bad results too. Suicide, alcohol, drug abuse, mental illness with put more stress on our society that may be longer lasting or even fatal on an individual's life.
The budget required to run this state should be based on the revenues coming in so we do not create debt to be paid by future generations. We live in an affluent society and life is much better than most people in this world. We need to curtail our greed and remember how lucky we are to live in a country where we have such potential and freedom.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

We need to support our policemen. The constitution provides for the federal government to protect us from both external and internal harm.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have 40 years of work experience in an industry that asked for quality results. I learned to take on a project, evaluates it's needs and to develop a solution that was economical, filled the bill, and was equitable.

The best advice ever shared with me was …

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I listen to others and then make my decision on the issue. I will ask questions that will reveal the good and poor points of the issue and will try to bring out the consequences of passing the issue.iq
