
Since 1995, communities across the country have celebrated National Public Health Week to highlight issues that are important to improving the public’s health. We can all play a part in building a healthier and safer Nashua! The Division of Public Health & Community Services is partnering with organizations to promote National Public Health Week and educate the community that “A Healthier America Begins Today." Join the Movement!
- Kick Off: "Active Living and Healthy Eating" Recognition of National Public Health Week by Mayor Donnalee Lozeau. Free giveaways & raffle prizes! St. Joseph Hospital will have a cooking demo with free samples! Also, take a walk through Mine Falls or a sampler zumba class! Where: Nashua YMCA, 4pm to 5pm
- Healthy Eating on the Run and on a Budget! Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Employee Assistance Program is offering a workshop on healthy low-cost eating. The class is free and open to the public. Where: City Hall Auditorium, 3rd Floor, 12:15pm to 1 p.m. or Nashua High School South Room 106, 3:45pm to 4:45pm.
- Creating Steps Toward a Healthier Life - The Boys & Girls Club will be offering a hip hop class, step class and zumba class for all ages. Classes are free and 3 work out gifts sets will be raffled off. Where: The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, The hip hop class is 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the zumba class is 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the step class is 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
