P-90X Fitness Event to Benefit American Diabetes Association

WHEN: Saturday, September 22, 2012, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

WHERE: (All Locations Except Lowell, MA)

DETAILS: Best Fitness is inviting the entire community to the launch of the popular P90X® program and will donate all proceeds to the American Diabetes Association®. Diabetes affects 25.8 million children and adults in the United States.

Best Fitness chose the American Diabetes Association® because of the large number of individuals affected and because of their dedication to good health. The American Diabetes Organization® promotes nutritious eating and fitness because the risk for certain types of diabetes can be reduced through physical activity and maintaining a healthy weight. Best Fitness Vice President of Personal Training Karli Taylor said, “ We feel strongly about supporting this organization. They work hard to educate people about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. They also provide many resources to the community. We are proud to donate 100 percent of all event proceeds to fighting diabetes.”

The mission of the American Diabetes Association® is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease.

The event, which is open to anyone in the community, will launch theincredibly popular P90X® program. P90X®, which stands for Power 90 Extreme,began as an at home exercise regimen known for its intensity. Instructors need to be P90X® certified to teach at facilities such as Best Fitness. Taylor said, “ There are a few fitness programs, such as Zumba, that have gained incredible popularity in communities across America. P90X® has become a household name and we expect a large turnout in a gym setting. Having instructors and friends help motivate you makes it enjoyable and addicting.”

The cost to participate is$10 and all money will go to the local chapter of the American Diabetes Association®. We are inviting representatives from this group to join us at the event and educate those who attend about diabetes.
