Who's Got Talent Showcase

NASHUA – New Hampshire’s community radio station, 87.9 The Beat, puts some of the area's inspiring youth with talent, back on stage. This will be the second annual Who's Got Talent Showcase hosted by 879thebeat.com on Saturday, July 28, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Radisson Hotel 11 Tara Blvd., Nashua.

The event will open with a performance by Boston’s professional dance team, Static Noyze, who recently took first place at the 2012 World of Dance Competition in New York City.

The talent competition will then begin, with the area's top acts vying for not only bragging rights, but also an engraved custom award, a promotional radio interview and song placed in rotation on The Beat radio station, and a bio placed on the website.

A special half-time show features Extreme Air of New Hampshire Jump Rope Team, which competes in the U.S.A. National Jump Rope Championships.

In addition to local talent, there will be various vendors and a several raffles from donors and sponsors. Raffle items include gift certificates and gift baskets from Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Ben & Jerry’s, Bonhoeffers Café & Espresso, Haywards Ice Cream, Baked Café, Amsterdam Bar & Grill, Olive Garden, Mel’s Funway Park, Chunky’s, Cinemagic, T-Bones, Panera Bread, Stonyfield Farm, McDonalds, Papa Johns Pizza, Pizza Hut and more.

In 2011, nearly 1,200 people attended the talent showcase, which took place at Greely Park in Nashua, and this year is expected to be a sellout.

Twenty-five percent of the event proceeds will go to the Atlantic Regional Firefighters Burn Foundation, which runs the New England Children's Burn Camp every year.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.879thebeat.com. Only 1,000 guests will be seated inside the Radisson's Grand Ballroom.
