Ex-Nashua Teacher Used Facebook to Solicit Sex With Student: Report

Bruce Lanctot, 40, allegedly used Facebook and Grindr to solicit sex from students, authorities said.

NASHUA, NH — A former Nashua teacher charged with using Grindr to sent naked photos of himself to students is facing more charges. Bruce Lanctot, 40, was arrested in May after police said he sent nude photos of himself to several students over Grindr, which bills itself is the largest gay social networking application. Police said Lanctot tried to arrange sex with some of the students.

Lanctot was a social studies teacher at Nashua High School South for over 10 years but is no longer employed there

"Lanctot ... indicated he knew he was communicating with Nashua High School South students," Nashua police Lt. Kerry Baxter said in a statement. "The victims reported being solicited by Lanctot to meet with him and engage in sexual conduct."

In October, Lanctot was indicted on a new charge of falsifying physical evidence. Police said he hid his phone from authorities and deleted evidence.

Additionally, Lanctot this month was indicted on another new charge of using Facebook to solicit sex from a student younger than 16, according to NH1.

An indictment means a grand jury determined a trial is warranted based on evidence in the case.
