Fatal Fire in Nashua: 1 Killed, 7 Hurt
The blaze tore through an apartment building at 8 Girouard Avenue.
One person was killed and several more were hurt in a fire that tore through a Nashua apartment building Monday morning.

The fire broke out on Girouard Avenue in a three-unit building. Firefighters said they were called to the scene at about 3:45 a.m.
A woman trapped on the second floor died of her injuries. The state Fire Marshal’s office said firefighters tried to reach her immediately but couldn’t because the fire was so intense. Two occupants leaped out of a second-floor window to escape the flames. One of them is a man who was being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries, according to WMUR. A total of five occupants in the building were hospitalized.
The fire started in an outside porch, the fire marshal said.
