First Nashua Alderman, Board Of Education Candidates File To Run
Candidates have until Sept. 6, to file for the 2019 municipal election cycle. The mayor will run unopposed in November.

NASHUA, NH — The first round of candidates running in the municipal election cycle in Nashua have filed to run, according to City Clerk Patricia Piecuch. Three candidates have filed to run for three alderman at-large seats: Lori Wilshire, Benjamin Clemons, and Melbourne Moran Jr. One candidate has filed for Board of Education – Jessica Brown.
There are five seats on the school board.
One candidate, Kevin Burgess, has submitted petition signatures to run for fire commission while Joel Ackerman has filed a petition to run for public works.

One candidate, Richard Dowd, has filed to run for alderman in Ward 2 while June Caron has filed to run in Ward 7.

Candidates interested in running for four-year terms for alderman at-large, board of education, fire commission, and board of public works need to file 50 signatures by Sept. 6. Ward alderman, moderator, ward clerk, and selectmen, all two-year terms, will need to file 15 petitions between now and Sept. 6.
Mayor Jim Donchess was the only candidate to file back in June. He will run unopposed in the general election.
Filing forms like acceptance and nomination petitions are available online as well as in the city clerk's office.
