Why are you seeking elective office?
to help advocate for a better deal for the citizens of Nashua. improved access to health and mental health care, fair pay, access to transportation. protect the environment . As a member of the Health and Human Services and Elder affairs committee I am able to advocate for improved Telehealth access as well as many other proposed laws that will improve life for our citizens.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
I think income inequality is the overall most pressing problem. People need to be able to earn enough money to cover rent, or mortgage, food, and retirement savings. what will I do about it....continue to vote for an increase in minimum wages but also to help with job creation of higher paying jobs in NH
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I believe the Coronavirus IS a serious problem in our community..
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform
LBGT rights, environment , recycling, rail service to NH. work force housing.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I was asked to chair a commission on SD 86 dealing with special needs of certain adults. I felt honored to be asked, felt confident in coordinating all the agencies that were represented and pleased with our final recommendations.
The best advice ever shared with me was …
be your authentic you...speak what you really think..not what you think people want to hear!
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
it has been a great honor to serve these last two years at the state house and on the health and human services and elder affairs committee. I feel my experience as a mom, a PTO president, a girls scout leader, a church council member, a volunteer at several organizations as well as my professional work experience at inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community out reach mental health clinics and as adjunct faculty at Lesley University and Nashua Community College give me a unique and valuable perspective.
