Granite Skatepark Closing
After just 14 months the indoor skate park is selling off equipment and moving on.

Granite Skatepark, a popular 25,000-foot indoor skate and BMX park, has announced on Facebook that it is closing June 10 for good.
"We will be selling all of our ramps and parts of ramps after June 10th. If you are interested in purchasing ramps or parts of the ramps (skatelite, rails, etc.) please send an email to Laura at Laura@granitesk8.com," reads the post that went up just before noon today. "You're welcome to make an appointment to come and look at the items and ramps and make a reasonable offer, as no reasonable offer will be refused."
The indoor skate park is run by Laura and Ken Azorian. According to the official website, Granite Skate was established in May of 2010 and opened at the Charron Avenue site in March of 2011.

A comment thread on Facebook about the announcement includes expressions of shock, surprise, well wishes and frustration by the skate community faithful. A post by Granite Skatepark within that thread says a new tenant is taking over the building.
We will update the story as soon as we have a chance to speak to the management.
