Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity's 2nd Playhouse Project Build
'Build crews' of Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity volunteers from both the corporate and nonprofit worlds constructed playhouses
Six colorful outdoor playhouses to inspire imaginative play were constructed as part of Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity's Second Annual Playhouse Project Build. ‘Build crews’ of Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity volunteers from both the corporate and nonprofit worlds constructed playhouses that the agency will raffle in the Spring. "Funds raised from this project will go toward our mission of providing homeownership opportunities to local families as well as critical home repairs to allow homeowners to stay safely in their homes," said Christa Tsechrintzis, Executive Director of Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat’s building crew created pre-cut kits that each team assembled, painted, and decorated, in a space provided by Anheuser-Busch’s Biergarten. Starting at 9:00am and working through approximately 4:00pm, volunteers were busy building, while spectators stopped by to admire the projects.
"Being a part of the Playhouse Project created such a great team building opportunity for us! It was truly heartwarming to see the hard work and dedication put into each and every playhouse and knowing they were going to such a good cause was icing on the cake!" said Tanya Randolph, Ambassador of Philanthropy & Community Outreach for Great NH Restaurants, Inc.
Additional kudos came from Lisa Barton, who was part of the Alene Candles build team: "The day was amazing! Our team is still talking about it. It was a memorable experience."
