Gunshot Hits Random Nashua Home: Police

Nashua police said Patrick Flaven fired a gun during a domestic dispute and the bullet struck a nearby home.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Monday after police said he fired a gun during a domestic dispute and the bullet struck a random home. Patrick Flaven, 32, was charged with a host of crimes and held on $100,000 bail. No one was injured by the gunshot.

Nashua police Lieutenant Kerry Baxter said on Monday night Flaven got into an argument with a woman he is in a relationship with. (Sign up for free daily newsletters and breaking news alerts from Nashua Patch.)

"During the argument, Flaven discharged the firearm," Baxter said in a statement. "The projectile from the firearm traveled out of the residence Flaven and the victim were in and struck a nearby residence. The projectile penetrated into the nearby residence, but did not strike the resident who was home at the time. The female also reported that she was threatened by Flaven, that he assaulted her, and that he prevented her from calling the police for help during the incident."

Flaven was charged with:

  • Reckless conduct
  • Criminal threatening
  • Domestic violence
  • Assault
  • Obstructing the report of a crime

He was scheduled for an arraignment Tuesday in Nashua District Court.
