He Drove Over Median, Struck Sign, Kept Going
Police say they witnessed Shawn Trudel, a certified habitual offender, driving erratically on Spit Brook Road.

Shawn Trudel, 33, of 23 Ritter Street Nashua, was arrested Jan. 5, 2013, charged for driving illegally due to revocation of priveleges as a habitual offender, after police allegedly witnessed him drive over the median on Spit Brook Road, hit a sign and then continue without stopping.
At approximately 1:31 a.m. on Jan. 5, members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Division stopped a vehicle Trudel was operating on Spit Brook Road following the mishap.
A records check confirmed Trudel’s license status had been revoked as he was certified as a habitual offender. He was subsequently arrested and charged with habitual offender, a class B felony and an additional count of conduct after an accident, a class A misdemeanor.

The offense of habitual offender is punishable by up to five years imprisonment,
exclusive of fines. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail, exclusive of fines. Trudel was being held at the Nashua Police Department on $2,000 cash or surety bail pending an arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court.
