Heroin Dealer Arrested Again in Nashua

Amherst resident Andrew Lavoie was charged with three counts of selling heroin following an "extensive" investigation.

An Amherst heroin dealer was arrested in Nashua this week, police said.

Andrew Lavoie, 28, of Amherst, was arrested Thursday on three counts of selling heroin. Police said he has previously been convicted of dealing heroin.

Police said the arrest was the result of ”an extensive investigation into the illicit sale of heroin within the city.”

Officials have declared heroin abuse an “epidemic” in Nashua. Police said as of September, they counted 142 heroin overdoses this year. Sixteen of those people died, police said.
