High Speed Chase After Robbery Leads to Crash, Stabbing: NHSP

UPDATE: Everett Turnpike is being cleared out after a robbery in Nashua led to a crash on Exit 4, carjacking, chase to Mass. and back to NH.

NASHUA, NH - First responders were called to Exit 4 in Nashua for a crash that reportedly started as a robbery in Nashua, then became a carjacking, a crash, a stabbing, another carjacking, a chase into Massachusetts, a chase back to New Hampshire, and then another crash, according to New Hampshire State Police.

The first accident was reported at around 2:30 p.m. on April 15, 2016, after a major police pursuit, according to alerts online. NH DOT reported that the turnpike was shut down at Exit 4, on the northbound side, with detours in place to divert traffic.

According to police, a robbery took place in Nashua and a suspect reportedly fled the scene. Near Exit 5 on the northbound side of the Everett Turnpike, the suspect crashed his vehicle.

A Good Samaritan then stopped to assist at the crash scene and the suspect reportedly stabbed the good Samaritan in the leg, took the person's vehicle, and sped off south to Massachusetts, according to NHSP. A pursuit took place and while in Massachusetts, the suspect reportedly turned around and came back to New Hampshire. The suspect drove north and then reportedly caused a nine vehicle accident. He reportedly attempted to flee but was arrested.

Miraculous, there no fatalities, however numerous serious injuries were reported.
