MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY: Hit Hole-in-1 to keep Pets healthy + home!

WHO: Animal Welfare Alliance Resource & Education (AWARE NH).

WHAT: Golf Tournament to raise funds for surgical equipment for our surgery suite at our Hooksett veterinary facility which just opened in June.

WHERE: Sky Meadow Country Club, 6 Mountain Laurels Dr, Nashua, NH 03062

WHEN: TODAY! Monday, July 15, 2024, 8 a.m. registration, 9 a.m. shotgun start, until about 3 p.m.

WHY: We aim to raise $10,000 through this inaugural event, which will help us acquire essential medical equipment for our surgical room. This equipment will facilitate community spay and neuter procedures for animals in need, furthering our mission of compassionate care for animals.

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Besides a fun day of golfing for a good cause, WMUR TV morning co-anchor Katherine Underwood, a pet lover herself, will be the MC for the day. There will be a puppy kissing and snuggling booth, swag goody bags for all participants, a silent auction and gift card tree plus lunch. The day will include lots of fun prize opportunities:

• Hole-in-One – the winner receives a five-night, six-day Caribbean cruise
• 25K Shootout –four fortunate players will have the opportunity to win $25,000 with a hole-in-one
• Golf Ball Air Cannon – We will reward the closest cannon shot for the day with a four- Day/three-Night All-Inclusive resort getaway. The location choices are Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

AWARE NH is a new all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping pets in their forever homes, even during tough times. We believe the best place for pets is with their loving families, and our mission is to provide the support needed to make that possible.

Founder Journey Ewell explains why she created this organization, after decades of work with humane societies and animal shelters around the state: “This organization was started as a bridge to ensure that pets stay out of shelters and remain in loving homes where they belong. In this economy, many people struggle to afford veterinary care, and it's the animals who suffer. AWARE NH’s goal is to provide the necessary support to keep pets with their loving families.”

AWARE NH’s services include:

· Low-cost spay and neuter programs – we have spayed/neutered our 100th animal in May, and now well over 125 – all since January. When the surgical suite is ready, we will be able to handle surgery and exams twice per week for cats and dogs. Our first clinic at our new Hooksett location will be Tues., July 16, 2024. We will be altering puppies from Hero Pets as well as some cats

· Affordable veterinary exams

· Educational seminars to inform and empower pet owners
