HOLLIS CHURCH CELEBRATES RENOVATION
On September 12, the Congregational Church of Hollis celebrated the grand re-opening of its newly renovated building. Festivities included fresh donuts made in their new commercial kitchen, tours, activities for kids and a dedication ceremony. A barbeque was also held on the Jim and Jan Squires Community Patio.
“I am so proud, amazed, and humbled by what has been accomplished. This celebration represents over four years of hard work and we are extremely excited to finally be able to share our renovation with the community.” said Reverend Tanya Stormo-Rasmussen.

Under the direction of Dennis Mires, P.A., The Architects, of Manchester NH and Milestone Engineering of Concord, NH, the opening marks the culmination of a complete renovation that includes bringing the nearly 100-year-old building up to code, installing an ADA bathroom, remodeling the kitchen, redesigning spaces like a community function room and youth room and enhancing meeting rooms and educational spaces. The renovation also includes a transformation of the church’s outdoor spaces with the addition of the Squires Community Patio that honors long-time residents Jim and Jan Squires and offers a convenient location for town events.
