David Schoneman joined me this week on Discovering Possibilities to talk about the home brewing process and his desire to take the next step in his craft beer journey. How does one go from a guy that is brewing beer in his basement to starting a craft beer business? We looked at the possibilities and impediments for small business entrepreneurs in New Hampshire through the prism of craft beer.
The craft beer world is growing. It has become a vehicle for independent-minded, creative people to take charge of their own destinies and do something fun at the same time. What can New Hampshire legislators do to help craft brewers compete with the big players in the beer world? How can we make New Hampshire a craft beer destination state on par with Vermont and Maine?
Overall, since 70% of new jobs in the United States are created by small businesses, what can we do to unleash entrepreneurship throughout the country? How do we create conditions in New Hampshire that are favorable to small business start-ups? David and I offered a few ideas.
