Home Health & Hospice Care Seeks Hospice Volunteers for July Training Program

MERRIMACK, NH — Home Health & Hospice Care (HHHC) is seeking compassionate community members to volunteer with hospice patients and their families throughout southern New Hampshire.

Hospice volunteers provide companionship, practical support, and respite to families during end-of-life care, helping patients feel supported and less alone. Volunteer opportunities include friendly visits, light household assistance, errands, caregiver respite, and participation in specialty programs such as Veterans Supporting Veterans, bedside vigil support, and complementary therapies including pet visitation, music, singing, and Reiki.

All hospice volunteers must complete HHHC's comprehensive 33-hour Hospice Volunteer Training Program. This summer's intensive training is offered in a condensed format over eight afternoon sessions, held Monday through Thursday across two weeks, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. on July 13-16 and July 20-23.

Training will be held at HHHC, 7 Executive Park Drive in Merrimack. The program is provided at no cost for individuals who plan to volunteer with HHHC. Others interested in attending may participate for a $150 fee.

Space is limited, and interested individuals are encouraged to register early to allow time for the application and interview process.
