Homeless Fugitive Strangled Girlfriend, Stole $20 From Her in Nashua: Police

Nashua police on Sunday arrested a homeless man on charges he strangled his girlfriend and stole $20 from her.
Samuel Truscott, 26, was charged with assault, domestic violence, theft, and violating a protective order.
Police said on Sunday, they responded to Railroad Square for a report of a domestic incident. They found a woman who said Truscott—her boyfriend—was staying with her despite a restraining order. Police said they later learned he strangled her and stole $20 from her earlier in the day. She was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Truscott had a warrant out of Hillsborough County for a probation violation, police said.
He was held without bail pending an arraignment.
