Homeless Man Arrested On Nashua Kidnapping, Carjacking Charges
Andrew Colvin was accused of carjacking a woman's vehicle with two children inside on Danforth Drive on Wednesday.

NASHUA, NH — A homeless man now located in Nashua is facing felony charges after being accused of carjacking a vehicle with children inside on Wednesday.
Officers were sent to Danforth Drive for a report of a vehicle theft. When they arrived, a woman told officers her vehicle was stolen with two children in the backseat. A suspect, a man, was stopped by Good Samaritans, removed from the vehicle, and then fled the area, Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor for the Nashua Police Department, said.
“The children were uninjured during this incident,” he said.

The suspect, Andrew Colvin, 42, was arrested later by officers.
Detectives from the special investigation division worked the case and spoke with witnesses who accused Colvin of entering the vehicle and driving off. Cinelli said the vehicle “was idling in the parking lot of an apartment complex.”

Colvin was out on bail after being arrested on a prowling charge on Aug. 9. He was charged with two felony kidnapping counts, a felony theft by unauthorized taking count, and a driving after revocation or suspension charge. He was held on $1,000 cash bail and was due to be arraigned on Thursday.
