IncrediBREW builds Community in South Nashua

There is a wonderful local resource in Nashua that is bringing people together to brew their own beer or soda, make wine, and make friends at the same time. IncrediBREW, which is located at 112 Daniel Webster Highway, has been a Nashua treasure since the mid 1990's and is the oldest such "brew on premises" facility in the United States.

Owner David Williams was a guest on my Discovering Possibilities show this week. I was impressed with Dave's passion for building community and understanding that his mission is much bigger than helping people make beer, wine, and soda. Dave has created an inter-generational family environment that functions like a social club as much as a brewery. People come to the facility to brew and bond with others.

IncrediBREW has several collaborations with other local businesses, which is also a great way to build community capital. In one such collaboration, they sell their wine to a Bedford business that makes jams and jellies. In another collaboration, IncrediBrew partners with the local Humane Society to share proceeds from wine sales. Finally, Dave likes to host events in which other small businesses bring in their products to share while the beer and soda making is going on. This is a win-win for all concerned.

Small businesses are the backbone of any community because they build the local economy and they help people thrive. Some small businesses are also great venues for fostering neighborliness. IncrediBREW is one such place and we are privileged to have them in Nashua. Stop in and see them.
