Info Sought On SUV Possibly Involved In Fatal Crash: State Police

Donna Briggs, a retired Hudson police sergeant, was struck and killed while riding a bike during a hit-and-run crash on Route 125 Kingston.

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police are asking for the public’s help finding an SUV that may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Route 125 in Kingston on Tuesday.

Donna Briggs of Derry, a retired Hudson police sergeant, was struck and killed while riding a bike on the route. She was 59. Briggs was found near New Boston Road, down an embankment.

Briggs was riding a bike around 11:30 a.m. when the accident occurred, according to investigators. She was reported missing later that day and found around 8:30 p.m.

The initial investigation into the crash revealed video from a business that showed a suspect vehicle, a dark SUV.

State police continued to investigate the incident and on Wednesday, were able to obtain more footage from businesses along the route and near the area where the suspect vehicle is believed to have struck Briggs.

The suspect vehicle is a blue GMC Yukon, manufactured between 2000 and 2006. It should have moderate damage to the passenger side, front-end of the SUV.
