Intoxicated NH Driver Flees Cruisers, Fails, Charged with 11 Crimes: Police

Nathan Doran was arrested Thursday after a multi-town chase, police said.

A drunk New Hampshire driver on Thursday made things a lot worse for himself when he decided to try and outrun cruisers in Massachusetts, police said.

Nathan Doran, 25, of Manchester, was arrested in Oxford, Mass., following the multi-town chase.

Police said it began when they received a report Doran was driving erratically on Route 495 in Marlborough, Mass. A trooper tried to stop him but Doran sped up and hit over 100 mph in is Dodge Caliber, police said.

As the chase reached a congested construction zone in Worcester, police said they terminated their pursuit for the safety of other drivers. Troopers set up stop sticks in Oxford, but Doran juked the device, police said—however cruisers were able to block him off, ending the chase.

  • Failure to stop for police
  • Negligent operation of a motor vehicle
  • Wanton destruction of property, over $250
  • Resisting arrest
  • Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
  • State Highway – Wrong way violation
  • Fail to drive in the right lane
  • Marked lanes violation
  • Breakdown lane violation
  • Speeding

Doran was held on $1,000 bail pending an arraignment.
