Duckgate is troubling in more ways than one. The Nashua Telegraph is reporting this morning that Police Commissioner Pappas may have tried to use his influence to help out his duck killing friend, Democratic State Representative David Campbell. That would be obvious influence peddling if it turns out to be true. Campbell appears to have made some serious mistakes, but the actions of Pappas appear even more troubling.
This incident coincides with the discovery of documented voter fraud in New Hampshire that the Attorney General is finally addressing, although timidly so far. The Democratic Party apologists continue to deny that any voter fraud has occurred.
Nationally, many opinion-makers are using their influence to minimize the revealed character defects of President Obama and Hillary Clinton. President Obama's obvious and repeated lies to the nation are apparently no big deal.
It will be interesting to see if politicos and opinion-makers that are partial to the Democratic Party in New Hampshire will have the courage to speak out against two of their own in what seems like an obvious case of immorality. I doubt it.
Get ready for all sorts of denial, counterattacks, and spin.
Is corruption no longer deviant? To some people apparently, corruption only applies to the other team. It is all a big game to them. Please watch my chat with Stephen Erickson for a non-partisan approach to anti-corruption. Get involved nationally or locally to combat corruption in government. If corruption and lying are no longer deviant we are in big trouble.
