Join ACT by Auditioning for Season Two

Artists Collective Theatre (ACT) will hold open auditions for their second season of plays at the Hunt Memorial Building in downtown Nashua on Sunday, August 17 from 3-7pm and Monday, August 18 from 6-9pm.   “We are looking for a diverse group of actors,” founding member Suzanne Delle said. “Our second season of plays needs actors of all ages, and genders as we are looking for performers for not just our main stage shows but also for smaller events we hold throughout the year. We hope to meet new artists at the auditions that will become part of the ACT family.”

ACT is looking for actors for both Clybourne Park which runs in February 2015 and Three Days of Rain the April 2015 production.  Both shows will perform at the Hunt Building in Nashua. Clybourne Park, written by Bruce Norris, won the Pulitzer Prize for drama and ACT’s production will be directed by Boston and NYC-area director Tasia A. Jones. The play explores the Chicago neighborhood made famous in Lorraine Hansberry’s classic play A Raisin in the Sun with the first act taking place in 1959 and the second act in 2009. The actors play different characters in both acts and diverse, adult actors from 50-20 years old are needed. The April production of Three Days of Rain, written by Richard Greenberg and directed by ACT company member Josiah George also uses one cast of actors to play characters from multiple time periods. This play is looking for a male and female actor in their 30’s of any race.
