“The demand for Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee continues to grow throughout New England,” said Patricia Perry, a Krispy Kreme vice president, in a statement.

The announcement marks Krispy Kreme’s second attempt to battle Dunkin’ Donuts for market share in New England. Krispy Kreme once operated several stores in Massachusetts but closed them in the 2000s. Its lone New England location is currently at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
