Campaign website
Why are you seeking elective office?
I’m running to serve my community and be an advocate for Nashua.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The struggles of working families - particularly during the challenges of COVID-19. Now more than ever, families need access to safe and affordable childcare, quality public schools, and programs such as paid family leave to care for sick or dying family members without the fear of losing a job.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
As a former PTO president, volunteer coordinator, and substitute teacher, as well as the mom of three recent graduates from Nashua High South, I believe I have a unique perspective on the challenges facing teachers and administrators as they strive to provide a quality education.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform
I support economic development, including the extension of the rail project, to attract young families and businesses to the area, expanded healthcare for low-income Granite Staters, and modernization of our voting practices.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
In my first term as a State Representative, I served as Clerk of the House Transportation Committee, as well as the Chair of the Nashua Legislative Delegation. Since 2006, I have served as the New Hampshire state chair of the Georgetown University Alumni Admission Program, and in 2017 was elected to be a Ward 8 selectman.
The best advice ever shared with me was …
Your voice is just as important as anyone else’s.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I grew up in the neighborhood I represent and am a proud graduate of Nashua public schools. My husband and I chose to raise our family here, and I’m running so our young people will want to do the same.
