Why are you seeking elective office?

I am running for re-election to continue creating the welcoming and vibrant community that all Granite Staters deserve. Nashua is an amazing city and I believe we can help it grow and succeed economically, provide great cultural opportunities for families, and still have that small town feel we all love.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The struggles of working families. Now more than ever, families need access to safe and affordable childcare, quality public schools that are funded properly and are safe from potential gun violence, and the assurance that healthcare and reproductive health is between us and our physicians and is affordable and accessible. I will continue to advocate for, and support legislation, that lifts up working families.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have a proven track record of supporting issues that are important to Ward 8 voters. I am on the record as an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, have a grade of 100% when it comes to reproductive health, and am a supporter of voting rights making sure registration and voting is easy and accessible to all qualified voters. I believe we should be striving to increase voter participation, not restricting it or continuing to spread false information and untruths about our elections.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

I support economic development including the expansion of rail into New Hampshire, the development of alternative energy sources to tackle our rising electric rates that are rooted in our dependence on natural gas, as well as the development of electric vehicle infrastructure though out the state.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I serve as the Deputy Ranking Member of the House Transportation Committee, and in my first term served as Clerk. In 2020 I was the Chair of the Nashua Legislative Delegation and acted as the liaison between the city's state representatives and the Mayor's office. Since 2006, I have served as the New Hampshire state chair of the Georgetown University Alumni Admission Program, and in 2017 was elected to be a Ward 8 selectman. I have a track record of leadership and I show up and do the work.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Your voice is just as important as anyone else's.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I grew up in the neighborhood I represent and am a proud graduate of Nashua public schools. My husband and I chose to raise our family here and I'm running so other young people will want to do the same, making Nashua their home. I ask for your support on November 8th.
