Local Man Charged with Stealing from Both Nashua Shaw's Stores

Mark Foster, 23, of Derry, has multiple theft convictions, police said.

The following is from Nashua police:

On January 23, 2015 members of the Nashua Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested Mark Foster, age 23, of 46 Derryfield Road Apartment R, Derry, New Hampshire. Foster was arrested at approximately 10:54 a.m. at the Rockingham County House of Corrections in Brentwood, NH, for two counts of Theft by Unauthorized Taking, Class B Felony.

On November 30, 2014 the Nashua Police Department received a theft complaint from Shaws Supermarket, 213 Daniel Webster Highway. They learned that an adult male subject had entered the store and taken numerous items totaling less than $1000.00, without paying for them. As the investigation was underway the same male entered the Shaws Supermarket, 300 Main Street, Nashua, on December 17, 2014, where he again stole several items totaling less than $1000.00.

As a result of the ongoing investigation the male was positively identified as being Mark Foster. It was learned that Foster had prior theft related convictions out of NH, which upgraded these offenses to Class B Felonies. Based on the investigation an arrest warrant was obtained for Foster.

Each Class B Felony is punishable by one to seven years in NH State Prison, exclusive of fines.

Foster is being held on $10,000 cash or surety bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Division-Nashua Court on January 26, 2015.
