Lynch Nominates Williams for State Council on the Arts

Christopher Williams is president/CEO of the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce.

Gov. John Lynch today nominated Christopher Williams, president and chief executive officer of the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, to serve on the State Council on the Arts.

Lynch officially presented Williams' name among nominations to the Executive Council when governor and council met Oct. 3 at Hampton Beach State Park.

The council, established in 1965, is the official state arts agency in New Hampshire, designed to "insure that the role of the arts in the life of our communities will continue to grow and play an ever more significant part in the welfare and educational experience of our citizens."

It is advised by a 15-member council, members of which are nominated by the governor and confirmed by the Executive Council.
