Massachusetts Teen Arrested After Nashua Armed Mail Carrier Robbery Caught On Camera

NASHUA, NH — A Massachusetts teenager has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a mail carrier in Nashua Tuesday, according to the Nashua Police Department.

The teenager, 18-year-old Baraka Janvier of Lowell, MA, was accused of holding the mail carrier at gunpoint and demanding his postal keys, which grants access to every mail dispenser in Nashua, police said.

The robbery had several witnesses and was caught on surveillance footage, according to police.

Janvier's vehicle in Lowell was identified from surveillance footage as the one used in the incident, and Janvier was arrested on a robbery felony charge.

He is being held on preventative detention at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections and is
scheduled to appear in Nashua Court on Wednesday.

Detectives are still investigating the robbery.
