Man Arrested on Felony Theft, Other Charges
Nashua Police: Eric Oak got paid for work he didn't do.
A local man was arrested and arraigned last week after allegedly accepting money for jobs but never performing the work.
Eric E. Oak, 33, of no fixed address, was arrested on Jul 24, and charged with theft by deception, consolidation, a felony, theft by misapplication of property, a felony, theft by deception, consolidation, a felony, and two counts of unsworn falsification.
According to a Nashua Police arrest report, back in January, an elder resident and her elderly, disabled daughter, issued checks to a repair man totally several thousands of dollars for work on their home and an automobile.

Police looked into the matter and discovered that during the course of a year, Oak had allegedly “accepted numerous cash disbursements from the woman to complete HVAC work which was never completed,” according to a statement by Lt. Denis Linehan, of the department’s criminal investigation division.
Oak also allegedly received a vehicle and cash for a replacement vehicle that was never obtained, and took more than $1,000 to replace a fixture on the home of the disabled woman, work that was never completed.

Police then arrested and charged Oak. He was held on $15,000 cash bail and arraigned on July 25.
According to police, Oak faces anywhere from seven to 15 years in prison as well as fines.
