Man Arrested for Alleged Knife-Point Robbery

Victim told police it was the second time in three days that he was held up by his knife-wielding acquaintance.

Manuel Benjamin Rodriguez-Figueroa, 34, of 67 Kinsley Street, Nashua, was arrested Dec. 25, charged with armed robbery, a Class A felony.

On Dec. 24 at approximately 10:55 p.m. the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Patrol Division was notified of a robbery in which the victim reported that on December 22 he was riding a bicycle down Pine Street when he was contacted by Rodriguez, an acquaintance.

The victim reported Rodriguez demanded money and threatened to stab him. The victim reported he gave Rodriguez money and the victim did not sustain any serious injury.

On the evening of December 25, the victim again had contact with Rodriguez on Pine Street. The victim was able to enter a convenience store where he asked the store owner to call the police. Patrol officers responded and took a report. Rodriguez was found in the area. After some further investigation, Rodriguez was arrested. Members on the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division furthered this incident and subsequently charged Rodriguez with Robbery; Armed, Class A Felony.

A Class A Felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Rodriguez was being held at the Nashua Police Department on $100,000 cash/surety bail to await his arraignment in Nashua District Court.
