Man Charged in August Motel Robbery with Knife

Christopher Wathen was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging him with armed robbery.

Christopher Wathen, 27 of19 Chandler Street, Apt. 114, Nashua, was arrested Nov. 14, charged with armed robbery in connection with an August motel robbery.

On August 26, 2012 at approximately 8:10 p.m. officers responded to local motel for the report that a tall, thin white male had concealed his face and robbed the clerk while armed with a large knife.

Following an investigation, police identified Wathen as a suspect and issued an arrest warrant charging him with armed robbery, a class A felony.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of
fines. Wathen was held at the Nashua Police station on $50,000
cash or surety bail pending an upcoming arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua
District Division Court on November 15, 2012.
