Man Charged on Theft Warrant

James Charland was arrested over the weekend in connection with a May theft.

James Charland, 32, No Fixed Address, was arrested Dec. 29, charged with theft by unauthorized taking or trasfer, a class a felony.in connection with a May theft.

According to a Nashua Police Investigation, on May 28 police respondeded to a Shedds Avenue for the report of a theft of a laptop, valued at $3,000. An investigation was conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division which led to the completion of an arrest warrant for Charland.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of
fines. Charland is being held on $ 20,000 cash or surety bail pending an
upcoming arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on the
January 2, 2013.
