Man Charged with Rape

Michael Farrington, 28 (no fixed address), was arrested July 24 at about 9:30 p.m. on an active arrest warrant charging him with aggravated felonious sexual
assault, a felony.

The incident in question was reported to police on July 14 by a woman known to
Farrington. She reported that Farrington forced himself on her and sexually assaulted her. 

Detectives were contacted and furthered the investigation. Based upon the information learned, an arrest warrant was issued for Farrington.

Aggravated felonious sexual assault is punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment in State Prison, exclusive of fines. Farrington is being held on $25,000 cash or surety bail pending arraignment in 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on July 25, 2012.
