Man Seriously Hurt in Nashua Crash

Firefighters used cutting equipment to free a driver who crashed on the Everett Turnpike Monday morning.

A man was seriously hurt after crashing on the Everett Turnpike in Nashua Monday morning.

The man, whose identity was not released, was driving a truck at about 6 a.m. when he struck a barrier. He was trapped in the vehicle; firefighters used cutting equipment and pulled him from the wreckage in under 5 minutes, according to Deputy Fire Chief Karl Gerhard.

He was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

The crash happened on the southbound side of the highway just past Exit 5.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
