Mass. Man Arrested After Downtown Nashua Stabbing Incident
David Hinds of Lowell was charged with second-degree assault after allegedly stabbing a victim in the back multiple times on Sunday morning.

NASHUA, NH — A Bay State man is scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South today for allegedly stabbing another person inside an apartment on Sunday morning, according to police. David Hinds, 33, of Lakeview Avenue in Lowell, MA, was arrested on March 25, 2018, for felony second-degree assault. At just before 3:30 a.m. yesterday, officers were sent to an apartment downtown for a report of an assault incident, according to Sgt. Robert Powers of the Nashua Police Department.

“Upon arrival, it was learned the victim had suffered several stab wounds in the back, and was subsequently transported to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries,” he noted in a press release. “During the investigation, it was learned a physical altercation occurred inside the apartment bedroom following a verbal argument. During the physical altercation, the victim was then stabbed in the back several times.”

Detectives furthered the case, Powers added, and found that Hinds was allegedly responsible for the attack and he was arrested at the scene. He was held on $7,500 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on March 26.
