Sexual Assaulter, Now Living In Massachusetts, Arrested On Nashua Duty To Report Charge
Police in Nashua have been attempting to arrest Chane Fisher, who now lives in Fitchburg, MA, on the felony charge since July 2021.

NASHUA, NH — Police in Nashua have arrested a sexual assaulter and sex offender, with several priors, who previously lived in the Gate City by now resides in Massachusetts, on a duty to report charge.
In July 2021, officers in the Special Investigations Division began investigating an allegation that Chane Fisher, 48, was non-compliant with his sex offender registration. He was required to check in with police every six months due to a sexual assault conviction from 2003. Lt. Peter Urban, the division commander, said police issued a warrant against him after confirming the noncompliance.
Many months passed, but police were able to arrest Fisher, who currently has a Fitchburg, MA, residence, on a single felony duty to report count on Saturday.

According to superior court records, Fisher's criminal history dates back to March 2002, when he was charged with three aggravated felonious sexual assault and three felonious sexual assault charges in Nashua. As part of a plea deal, which led to five charges being nolle prossed, Fisher did a short prison stint and was released but was required to register as a sex offender.
In December 2007 and March 2008, also in Nashua, he was accused of two duty to report charges and a change of name-alias, etc. charge. He pleaded guilty to two charges, and one was nolle prossed. Fisher was given a suspended sentence.

In June 2010, in Nashua, he was accused of simple assault and two felony criminal threatening charges. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was again given a suspended sentence.
Fisher was arrested again in 2020 for three duty to report charges in Nashua and pleaded guilty to a single count. He was again given a suspended sentence.
Fisher faces 15 years in prison and fines if convicted. He will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on Dec. 15.
